Sissi

Sissi is a resort which is perfect for couples and families. It is not so wild and lively as Malia or Hersonisos but it does have its fair share of nightlife if you want it. (and Malia is only a short ride away if you need a fix!)

It is a quiet fishing village, and has a tiny picturesque natural harbour which is overlooked by traditional tavernas.
There are boat trips coming in and out of the harbour and the 'Happy train' will take you on a tour of the resort.
It has amenities which are open all year round.

Sissi is set in the Lasithi Plateau region and becomes quite a draw for almost all the province's visitors. Experience the plateau for the day and maybe make your way along the east coast to Gournia, where you can enjoy one of the many Minoan sites in near isolation.
